Makinde craves APC’s support in moving Oyo State forward

• Says truth has prevailed in tribunal judgment
• Reiterates determination to make all roads motor able

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has urged the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to forget politics for now and join hands with him to work for the good of Oyo State.

The governor also described the victory of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the governorship election petition tribunal, on which platform he won the March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state, as the triumph of truth over falsehood.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, quoted the governor as saying that he did not expect anything less from the tribunal because truth was always constant.

He said: “We want to thank the people of Oyo State who have stood behind us before, during and after the election and since we have got into office. We didn’t expect anything else, because truth is constant. No matter how far a lie goes, the truth will always come out.

Besides, the Makinde-led administration has reiterated its determination to ensure good road networks across the state, noting that rehabilitation of roads within the state will commence in the shortest period.

Chairman, Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Kamil Akinlabi, stated this yesterday in Ibadan after the first management meeting held in his office.

Akinlabi said all state roads in Oyo State would be rehabilitated and maintained by the Makinde administration for easy flow of vehicular traffic and transportation of goods and farm produce in and around the state.
