2020 BUDGET SPEECH DELIVERED BY HIS EXCELLENCY, SEYI MAKINDE, EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF OYO STATE, AT THE OYO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2019 I am here today to present to you the Oyo State Budget Proposal for the 2020 Fiscal Year. Oyo Government to provide Palliative works on Moniya-Iseyin Road

The popular Moniya-Iseyin road would soon receive palliative works from Oyo State Government to ease the difficulties experienced by motorists along the road which has become increasingly impassable by the day due to its near collapse. The Government has appealed to motorists plying the road to show some understanding as it was aware of the difficulties they faced daily and assured of its commitment to fix the road in no distant time. The State Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation, Professor Raphael Afonja made this known to reporters while on inspection tour to the road, saying that Governor Seyi Makinde was fully aware of the importance of the road to the State which he said could not be underestimated and was working on getting the road fixed in the shortest time. “We’re aware of the struggles and pains people pass through on this road daily and we’re sorry for this, the Governor has the interest of the people at heart and has ordered that palliative meas

The official website for 2019 World Twins Festival is now open for free registration for twins and non twin (tourist). The festival with the theme : “twinning for global peace” will hold on Saturday 12 October, 2019 at Methodist Grammar School, Igbo-Ora, Oyo State by 10:00am prompt His Royal Magesty, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, tge Olu of Igbo-ora will host thousands of twins and multiple births around the globe. OKEOGUN ROADS NEED REHABILITATION - Bar. Waheed Lawal

A lawyer and  concern citizen of OkeOgun Area of Oyo state has called on the authority to rehabilitate major roads in OkeOgun which according to him are in deplorable condition. Barrister Wheed O Lawal posted the following on his facebook page :  We are calling on the: The Federal Government, The State Gvernment, The Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District and all the House of Representatives Members from Okeogun areas, The Minister of Works & Housing, The Oyo State House of Assembly, The Commissioner for Works, The Federal Controller of Works, The Chairman and General Manager of the OYSROMA, The Director of Highways, The Head of Local Government Administration, All Traditional Rulers from Okeogun. To once and for all put a focus on our road conditions and develop the needed political will to do something. There is a Need for Urgent Action on the Deplorable Roads in Okeogun of Oyo State. The Committee for the Advocacy of Rehabilitation of Okeogun Roads (CAROR) is saddene
