I have lost a father, High Prince Leye Babalola Mourns Alaafin







High Prince Leye Babalola, an High Prince of Oyo Empire, has mourned the death of late Alaafin, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Atanda Olayiwola Adeyemi lll.
High Prince Babalola in his condolence message release on Saturday expressed rude shock on the sudden transition of the most revered Yoruba monarch while commiserating with the immediate family, Oyo Mesi, subordinated Obas, Baales, fellow illustrious sons and daughters of the entire Yoruba land
As contained in the statement, the sudden passage of Iku Baba Yeye has left me jolted of the eternal loss of a precious father, invaluable mentor and staunch supporter who unquestionably believed in my projects.
According to him, the late Oba Adeyemi was a passionate royal father and traditional ruler who strongly believed in and assiduously worked for the human and community development as his 52 years reign as Alaafin witnessed unprecedented and countless turnarounds in physical and economic development in Oyo town
Baba as a gracious father regardless of tribal lineage and difference adopted and guided countless number of less privileged and gifted individuals to the pinnacle of their careers not to talk of various establishments home and abroad.
Unequivocally, the vacuum left by his demise will be hard to fill due to his unmatched wealth of experience and passion for excellence among the royal personalities in the country and beyond.
High Prince Leye Babalola therefore prayed for the eternal and peaceful repose of the late Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi lll saying Nigeria traditional institution has lost one of its finest brilliant brains, custodians and promoters.
