TÁSOÓLÒ FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS ON EASTER CELEBRATION



All our Christian brethren in communities at Oorelope Local Government of Oyo State, have been implored not to slacken in their relation ship with God but be fervent in appreciating His mercy,  favour and divine protection at this moment of unfortunate period of outbreak of corona virus.  

     Hon. Adesola Yaqub (Tasoolo), Caretaker Chairman of Oorelope Local Government pleaded  with the indigenes to exhibit the sober state of fasting in appealing to God to profer permanent solution to corona virus outbreak. He made this in a media statement signed by the Local Government's Information Officer, George Oyewole Ojo, where he enjoined  indigenes to emulate the love demonstrated by Jesus Christ to sacrifice for the survival of respective families,  neighbours and the  needy  in various communities and wishes  all Christians happy,  peaceful and glorious Easter celebration.

Hon Adesola Yaqub in the Easter message congratulated our leader, His Excellency, The Executive  Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, for celebrating this Easter and the grace to overcome the infection of corona virus. 

He delivered the governor's sterling greetings on Easter celebration to the good people of Oorelope Local Government  and commend their cooperation and patience with the government on all the measures taken so far to curtail the menace of the COVID-19  pandemic.

Happy Easter and may the season bring forth more blessings and prosperity to all.

Makinde To Re award Moniya Iseyin Road

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has announced the revocation of the Moniya-Iseyin road contract awarded during the administration of the immediate past government for the sum of N7 billion. Makinde, who made the disclosure while speaking at the launch of a $5 million Agribusiness Project initiative by Farmcrowdy, said that the road was central to the government’s resolve to promote agribusiness. According to him, the previous government awarded the contract to an engineering firm that did not have capacity to handle the project, adding that even though the owner of the firm was known to him, he could not mix friendship with the business of governance. A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, quoted the Governor as saying that the contract was revoked to enable him address the challenges of moving farm produce around the state.
