Oorelope LG Chairman commends ALGIO for taking COVID 19 awareness campaign to the grassroot.

                   
             

Following the flag off ceremony for the grassroot public awareness campaign carried out at Ijawaya in Oyo zone over permanent solution for COVID 19  Hon Adesola Yaqub Caretaker Chairman of Oorelope Local Government Igboho Oyo State Nigeria has commended the noble decision of Association of Local Govrenment Information Officers to complement the efforts of His Excellency Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde  to curtail further spread of  COVID 19  to the communities at local government level.                                     Hon Adesola Yaqub in a statement by Oorelope Local Government Information Officer George Oyewole Ojo eulogized Oyo State Local Government Information Officers for deeming it fit to shoulder the responsibility of extending the public awareness campaign to dwellers at remote parts of Oyo State in a bid to check community trasmission of COVID 19.     Hon Adesola Yaqub remarked that he was impressed by the collective official moral and financial sacrifice of the Oyo State Local Government Information Officers in ensuring the overall success of various strategies employed by Governor Seyi Makinde to overcome spread of COVID 19 to the grassroot.                                        Hon Adesola Yaqub appreciated the leadership traits displayed by the Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde for supporting the flag off ceremony and sending Hon Commissioner of Information  Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun and Oyo State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress Comrade Titilola Sodo as his delegates                                         Oorelope Local Government Chairman Hon Adesola Yaqub implored the Information Officers to adopt house to house campaign strategy in order to achieve desired results.          Hon Adesola Yaqub commended the uniqueness and selflessness of Oyo State  Local Government Information Officers in  volunteering to preserve lives in the remote  communities within the Local Governments and  Local Council Development Areas.

Makinde To Re award Moniya Iseyin Road

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has announced the revocation of the Moniya-Iseyin road contract awarded during the administration of the immediate past government for the sum of N7 billion. Makinde, who made the disclosure while speaking at the launch of a $5 million Agribusiness Project initiative by Farmcrowdy, said that the road was central to the government’s resolve to promote agribusiness. According to him, the previous government awarded the contract to an engineering firm that did not have capacity to handle the project, adding that even though the owner of the firm was known to him, he could not mix friendship with the business of governance.
