APC CHIEFTAIN, KOLA ASANIKE, OPENS AGENCY FOR YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT IN IBADAN. *Enrollment starts December.

Following his deft and zeal for human all-round development especially, youths, Prince Kola Asanike, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Oyo State, has established a vocational institute to train interested youths in various entrepreneurship skills in order to guarantee their financial independence for both immediate and long term cares.

The institute, which according to Asanike, would be free of tuition fee in all subjects would commence candidate's admission and  enrollment in December to be followed by the  resumption of students in January.

Asanike's message was contained in a goodwill statement sent to the Ayeyemi group in Ibadan Southeast local government area of Oyo State.

Delivering the message on behalf of Asanike at the monthly general meeting of the group, the spokesman for the Asanike campaign organization, Mr. Sheriff Adedeji stressed that "the institute would commence academic activities in January 2021 with not less than four vocational subjects."

"The institute has the responsibility of modelling youths in entrepreneurship skills in order to guarantee their financial independence in the present economic situation."

Asanike noted that resource persons involved in the training of the students have been carried along to ensure a smooth take-off of the institute which he described as "assuring for financial modelling."

On his decision to run a tuition-free institute amidst a woeful economic state of the country, Asanike noted that "the management of the Ayeyemi as an agency has decided to do this free for all training because we are concerned about the plights of youths generally and the need to give them a lease of life that can lift them into prosperity without stress."

'We also, have been compelled to love these youths, stand by them in all their situations and model their lives in a promising direction. The project is assuring for financial modelling," Asanike said.

Some of the subjects available in the curriculum include Catering and Event Planning, Graphics and Ceramics Designs, Fashion Design and Souvenir Making and Hairdressing.

Meanwhile, Prince Kola Asanike has lamented the general low economic level of youths across Oyo State, describing the youths' plight as unbearable.

Asanike said, "There is an urgent need for some of us political players to make it a genuine duty to offer good governance for these youths and rescue them from social evils. Their condition is unbearable and we must show empathy and bold readiness to lift the youths into individual fulfilment."
