The 'Buhari Army' By Tope Aileru

From a recent personal research, I found these categories of people who believe Nigeria is working so well and want to move to the' next level' tomorrow as we vote. We shall have their total figures in few days when the results are announced.

1. Civil servants; in particular, the ones who got employment into the civil service from 2015 and those that have been favored with promotions or other benefits in the last 3 years.

2. . 'Poorly-renumerated' aides/appointees of people who are currently serving in the present government. Most of them are defending the jobs of their slave masters at on all costs, even on empty bellies (in real life).

3. 'Emergency Journalists' who call themselves social media influencers that receive peanuts from people in the present government. They curse and abuse anyone in defence of Buhari's failures.

4. Diehard 'supposed progressives' whose fathers/grandfathers had also been same. They have been members of AD, AC, ACN, and APC since this republic started in1999. They all have ways they have benefited from this government in their different ways or some governments under those old parties above.

5. Non-liberal Muslims. These set of people believe that some Muslims are more 'muslim' than the others. So they belive one of the presidential candidates is more 'Muslim' than the other.

6. Majority of NPOWER beneficiaries. Funny enough, most of these people have other jobs they do in private but take the monthly stipend of about N35k at the expense of millions of hardworking Nigerian youths. They don't even report at the duties assigned to them. They believe if Buhari continues, the goodies may continue. At least there are about 0.5 million of them across the country.

7. Supposed learned and educated adults in cities, whose judgements about Nigeria are majorly influenced by media reports. They have been influenced over the years by newspaper headlines and press reports every morning by radio and TV stations. Social media further compounded their fate. They don't really have private ideas of how the country should and can work. They are of a strong belief anyone against Buhari must have something 'bad' or 'currupt about his person. Their basic idea is that there had been excessive living in Nigeria (which damaged the country lol) and there should a certain strict code for all. They are the acclaimed 'self-righteous' ones.

N:B: I shall release the categories of Atiku Supporters in my next post.
